After renovations, Ludlow Elementary School will house an expanded pre-K program which is also funded by Issue 13. The school was closed in 1987, but the district maintained ownership. Until recently, the building was occupied by Positive Education Program, an alternative school for students  challenged by complex developmental trauma, mental health issues and autism, according to the organization’s website.

At its July 12, 2022 meeting, the Board of Education heard explanations for two options for school rebuilding. Pictured here are the two options’ treatments of the high school and the middle school. In option 1, pictured above, a new high school would be built where Woodbury currently is, a new middle school would replace Onaway and athletic facilities would be built in the current high school’s place. The board continues to examine ways to achieve new facilities.
