Women’s volleyball (1-9) are on a seven-game losing streak halfway through the season.
The Raiders’ only win came at Maple Heights High School Aug. 24. “I feel our record definitely does not reflect how we are as a team, but it definitely lets us know that there is improvement and it can be made,” said senior captain Nolan Jones, who plays outside hitter and opposite hitter.
Jones said she is most excited to play her senior night game against Euclid Oct. 10.
Senior Madyson Jenkins said the second half of the season will go better than the first. “We don’t have a specific plan, but I feel that we have a good chance,” she said.
Shaker plays at home tonight against Medina (2-9). The varsity match begins at 6:30 p.m.
