Why did you decide to run?
Abby White was a representative for two years and said she wants to take a more active role. “I chose the position of treasurer because I have had experience with fundraising. I also like Student Council . . . I wanted to help our class!”

What’s your campaign strategy? Are you using social media?
“I have a Facebook group and I made one Twitter post, but I’m not big on Twitt1er,” she said. “My posters around school are parodying internet memes.” White said she also made cupcakes yesterday and cookies for today.
Why should people vote for you? What are your advantages over the other candidates?
“I’ve been one of the most proactive members on the council with fundraising. I would rather have more money in our account, quite frankly,” White said. She said other candidates are smart, but that “I think I have a lot of good ideas that I would like to get going.”
If elected, what three things do you need to achieve to feel you have been successful?
“Overall, I want to make over $1,000 in my year as treasure. I also want to create fundraisers that people like and that they will be enthusiastic about,” White said. She added that she wants to help other council members to accomplish their goals.
