Madison Moran, 2015 Secretary

Why did you decide to run?

Madison Moran said she likes to be a leader. “I want to lead my class,” she said.

Did you run last year or at any other time? Have you held office previously?

Moran has not previously served. “I was living overseas,” she said.

What’s your campaign strategy? Are you using social media?

“I use posters,” she said, “and I’m just nice to people. I don’t believe in social media.” Moran said campaigning is not key to being elected. “I think the speech is what counts,” she said.

Why should people vote for you? What are your advantages over the other candidates?

Moran cited her overseas experience. “Living in other countries, i learned to adapt to situations easily, understand how things work and how to communicate effectively,” she said. Moran said she possesses traits important to the office. “I am punctual, can take notes and communicate well,” she said.

If elected, what three things do you need to achieve to feel you have been successful?

Moran said being an effective council member and fulfilling the secretary’s role are important, as are watching council be successful preparing for future years, whether saving for prom or organizing meetings. “Lastly, I would be able to say with confidence that our class has achieved all the goals we set forth,” she said.
