Charlie Howell (‘28) is in his second year with The Shakerite and is currently the Spotlight Reporter. Last year, he reported on the basketball and football teams. In his free time, Charlie plays football for the Raiders and plays the piano.

Watkins was among the nine 2025 inductees to the Shaker Schools Foundation's Alumni Hall of Fame. He told Howell that that he wore the same jersey number, 85, while playing football for the Raiders. The inductees addressed an assebmly audience in the large auditorium during second period.
