The varsity woman’s soccer team celebrates after a goal against Hawken on Sept. 29

Women’s Soccer

On Tuesday, Varsity tied their only game of the week to Hawken. Their lone goal was scored by sophomore Izzy Hart and was assisted by freshman Claire Russell. JV beat Hawken in their only game of the week. They won 8-0.

 

Men’s Soccer

The 5th ranked Varsity took their first loss of the season to 10th ranked North Olmsted. They lost 1-0 and look to rebound when they play U.S. on Tuesday. JV beat North Olmsted 4-0 on Saturday. JVB won their first game of the week against Bay Village, 3-2. Goals were scored by sophomore Charlie Lozier (assisted by sophomore Athan White), sophomore Athan White (assisted by sophomore Marcus Bertsch), and freshman Khalid Nicholson (also assisted by Athan White). They played Bay Village again on Saturday and tied them 2-2. Goals were scored by sophomores, Charlie Lozier and Chris Pelletier.

 

Football

Varsity lost to Cleveland Heights on Friday. They lost 17-14 on a field goal that Cleveland Heights made with 4 seconds left to go in the game. Sophomore AD Cooper ran for a touchdown and Junior Adam Diaz threw a 75-yard touchdown. Senior Carson Fowler made both of his Extra Point attempts.

 

Women’s Cross Country

Varsity won the meet at Hawken against Hawken, Beachwood, Wickliffe and HB. Junior Mia Compton-Engle came in second place and freshman Darby Murlin came in 4th after setting the school’s freshman record last week.

 

Men’s Cross Country

Varsity won the meet at Hawken against Hawken, Beachwood and Wickliffe. Senior John Carter, sophomore Nico Moulthrop, senior David Carpenter placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.

 

Volleyball

On Tuesday, Varsity volleyball remained undefeated when they beat Cleveland Heights. On Thursday, varsity maintained their perfect record when they beat Garfield. On Sunday, Varsity lost their first game of the season against HB.

 

Field Hockey

On Tuesday, Varsity won 4-0 in an impressive win over Stow. On Wednesday, Varsity beat Laurel 4-0 to keep their win streak alive.

 

Women’s Golf

Varsity beat Cleveland Heights to win the LEL Championship. They were helped by Niamh O’melia who shot an 87, Angela Dodson who shot a 96 and Jes Cunion who shot a 102. As a team, they shot a 397 to Cleveland Heights’ 472.
