Why did you decide to run?
Zaylon Green said she I has been active in Student Council since freshman year. “I want to be more involved, especially with senior year,” she said.
Did you run last year? Have you held office previously?
Green was treasurer last year and a representative freshman and sophomore year.
What’s your campaign strategy? Are you using social media?
“I have tons of posters up,” she said. “And I posted in my Facebook status and on Instagram.”
Why should people vote for you? What are your advantages over the other candidates?
“I know the job and I know the ropes,” Green said. “I know my peers and I know what people want. I have been on Student Council for a long time and I am always at every council meeting.”
If elected, what three things do you need to achieve to feel you have been successful?
Green said making Homecoming and Winter Formal a success and taking charge of two fundraisers were important. She also wants to “make senior year a fun year.”
