Stairwells wallpapered with fliers can mean only one thing.
Students will choose next year’s leaders May 8-9.
Student Council candidate speeches will be delivered during morning assemblies May 8, and the first round of voting will occur during lunch periods that day. Freshmen will hear their candidates speak during first period, sophomores during second period and juniors during third period assemblies in the Large Auditorium.
During lunch periods, students will vote for president, vice president, secretary and treasurer for the rising sophomore, junior and senior classes. Representative elections and runoffs, if necessary, will occur during lunch periods May 9. Candidates who are not elected to president, vice president, secretary or treasurer will be put into the pool of representatives.
Freshman Kriston Price is not particularly excited about the chance to vote.
He said, “I don’t really care about the elections, it doesn’t do anything for me.”
