On Sept. 9, Shaker held a welcoming assembly for 12 Chilean exchange students
Shaker held a welcoming assembly Sept. 9 for a group of 12 exchange students from Thomas Jefferson High School in Concepcion, Chile. During the assembly, a group of three exchange students gave a presentation on Chile’s culture, government and geography. Another group of exchange students performed their national dance, the Cueca. Chilean exchange student Antonia Morales said, “I look forward to meeting everyone and improving my English.”

Ashley Sah (‘21) is the Videographey Editor and is in her fourth year with the Shakerite. In her sophomore year she was the Social Issues Investigations Reporter, covering topics such as classroom size and student teacher relationships. She is also a founder and leader of STEM Ambassadors, an organization dedicated to promoting and encouraging diversity in STEM. She also plays flute and volunteers at Shiksha Daan. In her free time she enjoys writing poems, making strong espressos and playing piano.
