Why did you decide to run?
Cherie Lo is the current president of her class and has been encouraged by peers to run again. “I’d been president already and I wanted to keep helping my council.”
Did you run last year or at any other time/have you held office previously?
Lo was secretary her freshman year and president her sophomore.
What’s your campaign strategy? Are you using social media?
Lo originally hung posters for her campaign around the school that were a bit confusing, but then replaced them with more straightforward ones. “I’m not using social media just because I’m not very good with that kind of stuff and I’m running unopposed.”
Why should people vote for you? What are your advantages over the other candidates?
“I have experience and I like doing what I do. I have a lot of really good ideas of how to administrate council next year. I’m going to change a lot of stuff that will make us more efficient and help us raise more money.”
If elected, what three things do you need to achieve to feel you have been successful?
Lo would like to increase the attendance of the members of her council, hold a big, successful charity event, and double her class’ funds by the end of the year.
