The Shakerite

Emily Boardman (‘18) is beginning her fourth year with The Shakerite, and first as a Copy Editor, a position that checks grammar and AP style rules in stories. As a Spotlight Editor for two years, she profiled retiring teachers and interviewed Shaker alumni starring on Broadway. As well as covered events such as the assembly for John Amaechi, the first openly gay NBA player. Outside of The Shakerite, Emily is a member of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and the Art Club. She enjoys playing softball, musical theatre, and daily procrastination.
