Shaker Hockey Advances to State Championship Game
With a 4-2 victory over Rocky River, the hockey team advanced to the state championship game.
With goals by seniors Jacob Shick, John Longman and Connor Siwik, and a goal by junior Ryan LaMonica, the Raiders ended the Pirates’ season.
Shaker faces Sylvania Northview (27-6-1) March 9 at 7 p.m. at Nationwide Arena in Columbus. The Wildcats beat Shaker 3-2 in a regular-season meeting last December.
