The Shakerite

Emily Boardman (‘18) is beginning her third year with The Shakerite, her second as Spotlight Editor. During freshman year as a staff reporter, she investigated how to attain the rights to perform a musical/play in a school setting. She has been part of the trio who reported on the lecture of John Amaechi, the first openly gay basketball athlete, as well as profiled the retiring and leaving teachers of 2014-15 from the high school. While not working on The Shakerite, Emily enjoys playing softball, reading, and yoga.
